I am honored to serve as James Madison Charter Academy’s (JMCA) principal this year. It is hard to believe, but I am embarking on my 17th year in the education field and my 6th year at JMCA. My career has taken me to the Five Points Neighborhood in Denver, rural Taiwan, Taichung, Taiwan, and now JMCA in Colorado Springs. I am a proud Colorado native and a thrice graduate of the University of Colorado Denver, a Fulbright Scholar, and a graduate of The Principal Institute and The Principal Leadership Institute.
This year, it is a goal of mine to try to have some work life balance. Christmas 2021, I became engaged to my amazing fiancee, Arianny, a teacher from Venezuela, and the two of us are slowly building our cross-cultural lives together. In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, working out, studying languages, spending time with family and friends, and traveling the world. I have visited 13 countries and 20 states so far, and I only hope to add to that total. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.
